The Assembler I is responsible for putting together components or parts to create finished products or sub-assemblies according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions. While Assembler II performs intermediate-level assembly operations, including hand and machine assembly and soldering, to produce quality products in a manufacturing environment. This role requires prior assembly experience, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and consistent adherence to quality and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Assembler I: · Resolve part shortages and expedite delivery of required items · Analyze, evaluate, report and act on inventory requirements to maintain adequate inventory for customer support using local and global planning tools · Assist in developing mutual forecasts for consignment materials with customer · Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to identify and resolve any barriers to short and long term balance of supply with demand · Regular reporting on material inventory levels for the status of all excess & obsolete inventory items. · Issue requisitions for procurement, coordinating consignment and delivery scheduling with demand requirements · Manage inventory flow, both inbound and outbound from/to vendors, communicating exceptions as they arise with appropriate personnel · Expediting and coordinating materials movement within and between stock locations. · Analyze and resolve process issues, and report results · Identify cost savings and service improvement opportunities · Assist with inventory cycle counts and physical inventories as needed. · Other duties as assigned. Perform high level complex operations such as inspection, assemblies, disassembles, packaging and testing for mobile phones and/or similar electronic products as well as material supply and scrap coordination and other tasks assigned to meet production targets (quality, quantity and time). Perform repairs, assemble, re-assemble components using manual or mechanical tools per Work Instruction. Use designated tools to protect the product from scratches, falls and other issues related to handling the unit. Perform full range of required testing. Ensure process for rejected phone is followed ensuring that quantity, failed code and type of failure is clearly identified. Receive, verify, inspect and control non-compliant materials. Immediately report any incident that put at risk product targets, quality of the product or employee safety or work labor environment to Leader. Work with scrap control and proper disposition. Report any non-conformance material, tools or equipment used for the unit assembly and/or disassembly or testing process. Assist in the setup of materials in the cell at the beginning and end of each shift. Segregate, identify and ensure the correct delivery of the units that failed in the process for fault room (FA / CRB / TFB). Responsible for specified yield KPI and production targets through the facility. Ensure the organization, hygiene and cleanliness of work areas to maintain a suitable environment for the execution of the activity. Take active role in providing feedback for process improvements. Ensure materials and equipment assigned are safeguarded and preserved at all times. Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized at all times. This role supports Final Assembly, Test, and Pack operations by digging into why products fail. You’ll be the hands-on troubleshooter who verifies defects, runs diagnostics, and helps engineers get to root cause so issues don’t repeat on the line. Support FATP (Final Assembly, Test, and Pack) production operations by performing failure analysis and troubleshooting activities on defective products and assemblies. Conduct basic hardware diagnostics, failure verification, and product inspection for production failures and returned units. Assist Failure Analysis Engineers with root cause investigation, data collection, and failure documentation. Perform component replacement, rework soldering, and repair activities during failure analysis processes. This role directly supports FATP – Final Assembly, Test, and Pack – operations. You'll be the hands-on mechanical support keeping the manufacturing floor running. Think: fixing what breaks, building what’s needed, and making sure production lines don’t stop. Support FATP (Final Assembly, Test, and Pack) production operations through daily mechanical and equipment-related support activities. Assemble, install, maintain, and repair production fixtures, workstations, racks, carts, and mechanical equipment used on manufacturing lines.
